App Bar: The apps container for your Splash Portal

App Bar is an application consisting of a dynamic bar which can be published in the Splash Portal and allows end-users to easily access to external web URLS or active applications.

By clicking the Manage button it is possible to manage the applications available for the App Bar publication mode.

In the top part of the window, there are all the items that it is possible to include in the App Bar. In particular, they are:

The most opaque elements are those that are already included in the App Bar. These items are also viewed in the section representing the App Bar, in the lower part of the page.

In order to add an item to the App Bar, just drag and drop your item to the section representing the App Bar.

It is possible to change the order of your items, by dragging and dropping the corresponding icon to the new place. In the example below, we are going to change the position between Geo Chat and Internet.

It is also possible to remove a single item from the App Bar, by clicking the corresponding button in the top-right corner of the icon.

The options, in the top-right part of the page, allow to choose the colors displayed for the items in the App Bar. The following options are available:

  • Unique color: all the applications can have a unique color, that can be the default color for the Splash Portal or any other color, that can be set from the web interface.
  • Different color for each app: in this way it is possible to set a different color for each application available within the App Bar.

When Customized colors is selected, it is possible to set a custom color by choosing a predefined one, or by manually entering the HTML code for the color.

These actions can be performed by the Tenant and, if the Management is Differentiated and the Responsibility is assigned to the WiFi Area, also by the WiFi Area Owner.

The App Bar has been designed and built by using responsive technologies and for this reason it is suitable for different screen sizes and resolutions. Below there are some examples about how it looks like into the Splash Portal:
