Instant Win is a gaming application, that allows to create contests with prizes. It is possible to create and manage contests based on two available game modes:
- Code-based contests
- Draw-based contests
End-users are able to play the games by accessing the Instant Win application on to the Splash Portal (within the App Bar, or within a content block, according to the configuration chosen for the application).
Manage
By clicking the Manage button it is possible to view the available game modes. Each of them has a separate section, where it is possible to create and manage contests. The actions of this section can be performed by the Tenant and, if the Management is Differentiated and the Responsibility is assigned to the WiFi Area, also by the WiFi Area Owner.
Code-based contests
By clicking the Code-based contests button in the Manage section, for the Instant Win application, it is possible to create and manage a code-based contest.
For each contest based on this game mode, the application generates some codes that shall be physically provided to end-users. Some of these are winning codes. End-users can access the Splash Portal, enter their code into the appropriate input field, and check if the code is winning or not.
The player who has won, has to physically go to the WiFi Area Owner in order to validate the assignment of the award.
For the Code-based contest mode, in the Control Panel, there are three actions available:
By clicking the Create new button, it is possible to create a new contest. The fields to specify are the following:
- Contest name: this indicates the name of the contest.
- Campaign code: this indicates a code needed to regulate games based on national rules (if provided), since some countries have a regulation and require an authorization to companies which intend to promote about such kind of game. If you do not have a value to enter into this field, you can enter any value.
- Validity period: this indicates the range of dates where the contest is valid.
- Number of codes to generate: this indicates how many codes you are going to generate.
- Rules: this is a description of the contest, that will be displayed to end-users.
It is mandatory to define at least one prize, but also multiple prizes are supported. For each of them, it is possible to publish a picture and it is required to specify the following fields:
- Prize name: this is the name of the prize that we are going to assign to the winner.
- Number of prizes: this indicates how many prizes of this type will be assigned to the contestants.
- Prize description: this is a short description of the prize, useful for displaying purposes.
By clicking the Check button, it is possible to validate the prize assignment to an end-user, by entering the code in the appropriate form. If the code is valid, the prize is "officially" assigned.
By clicking the Manage button, it is possible to access the page containing the details for the contests that are currently present in the system. Each contest listed comes with its status, that can be:
- Active: this indicates a contest that is currently active and valid. This means that the current date is within the Validity period specified.
- Not active: it indicates a contest currently inactive, which will be active in the future. This means that the current date is earlier than the Validity period specified.
- Expired: this indicates a contest currently inactive, which has been active in the past. This means that the current date is later than the Validity period specified.
For each contest it is possible to carry out a set of control and management actions, that are:
- View: through this function it is possible to view the details of an existing contest.
- Game details: through this function it is possible to view the following subsections:
- Prizes: here it is possible to view how many prizes are there to be won.
- Winners: here it is possible to view the details for the players who have won, and their winning codes.
- Export codes: through this function it is possible to export the list of valid codes to a CSV file. In this way it is easy to manually deliver them to end-users.
- Delete: through this function it is possible to delete an existing contest. Please note that deleting a contest, all the details regarding codes, prizes, and their assignment to end-users will be deleted too.
It is also possible to export all the details of the winner codes to CSV file, by clicking the Export the list of winners button.
Draw-based contests
By clicking the Draw-based contests button in the Manage section, for the Instant Win application, it is possible to create and manage a draw-based contest.
The draw-based contest is very similar to a scratch-and-win or instant lottery, and it is totally playable from the Splash Portal. There is a given number of winning bets. End-users can access the Splash Portal, being able to instantly play and discover if the bet is winning or not.
The player who has won, has to physically go to the WiFi Area Owner in order to validate the assignment of the award.
For the Draw-based contest mode, in the Control Panel, there are three actions available:

- Maximum number of attempts per user: this indicates how many times the end-user can try to bet in the contest.

- Required user data: here you can specify the end-user personal data that the system must know before the beginning of the game. This is necessary in order to avoid an end-user to play more games than those specified in the Maximum number of attempts per user field. The end-user will be prompted to enter this information only if it is not set in the user account of the Solution (for example, a end-user registered in Click-Through mode has not any data set).

It is also possible to export all the details of the games to CSV file, by clicking the Export the list of all games button.

End-user experience
End-users can access the application through the App Bar and try to win according to the games configured by system users.
The end-user is able to select the game to play.
If a code-based game is selected, the end-user has to enter the code in order to immediately discover if he is the winner or not.
If a draw-based game is selected, the end-user can be required to provide some personal data (if the system user set the game to ask for some personal data that are not configured in the end-user's account). By clicking Confirm, the end-user can immediately discover if he is the winner or not.
