Presence: Monitor presence and loyalty of your end-users

Presence: Monitor presence and loyalty of your end-users

Presence is an application, for system users, displaying location based statistics to monitor and improve customers engagement and loyalty. It helps to compare customer trends after launching campaign, revealing user traffic trends and new versus repeat visitors loyalty.
The installation of the application enables a new item called Presence in the main drop-down menu of the Analytics section, allowing the system user to view further information about end-users behavior.

Data is organized into three main sections, namely:

  • Capture: this section provides information on how many end-users are acquired.

  • Engagement: this section provides information on how much time end-users stay connected in the location.

  • Loyalty: this section provides information on end-users fidelity: more precisely the point is to understand how many end-users acquired come back again to use the service.

This application works in the same way as Analytics.

  • Data is processed at the end of each day: hence, this section cannot report current day data.
  • The Tenant is able to see data from all WiFi Areas and Hotspots, or a particular WiFi Area or a particular Hotspot in a WiFi Area.

Capture

In this section the following statistics are available:

  • Capture rate: It provides information on how many registered end-users who have used at least one Internet session previously, used the service during the selected time period. This is plotted as a line chart with a percentage indicator on the side. Data is available for the following time intervals:
    • Yesterday
    • Last seven days
    • Current month
    • Last month
    • Current year
    • Last year
    • Custom range (that is any time interval selected by the system user).

  • Conversion rate: It provides information on how many Splash Portal visits are converted to an Internet session. This is plotted as a line chart with a percentage indicator on the side. Data is available for the following time intervals:
    • Yesterday
    • Last seven days
    • Current month
    • Last month
    • Current year
    • Last year
    • Custom range (that is any time interval selected by the system user).

  • 4weeks cycle - Week trend analysis: it provides information about the behavior of end-users, on daily basis for the last four weeks. More precisely, the following information is provided in histogram charts:
    • Impressions: the total number of impressions of end-users.
    • New users: the total number of end-users registrations.
    • Online users: the total number of online end-users.
    • Sessions: the total number of end-users sessions.
    • Real users:  the total number of end-users who performed at least one login.

  • Daily distribution - Week trend: it provides information about the behavior of end-users during a day. More precisely, the following information is provided in stacked column charts:
    • Impressions: the total number of impressions of end-users.
    • New users: the total number of end-users registrations.
    • Online users: the total number of online end-users.
    • Sessions: the total number of end-users sessions.
    • Real users:  the total number of end-users who performed at least one login.

  • Capture daily distribution: it provides information on the hourly data range when end-users register to the service. This includes an histogram and one numeric indicator reporting this data for:
    • New users: the total number of new end-users.
    • Real users: the total number of end-users who performed at least one login.

  • Conversion daily distribution: it provides information on the hourly data range when end-users visit the Splash Portal and/or access the Internet session. This includes an histogram and numeric indicator reporting this data for:
    • Total impressions:  the total number of impressions of end-users.
    • Total sessions: the total number of end-users sessions.

Please note that, except the cases of 4weeks Cycle - week trend analysis, in all other case the counter average is calculated based on the difference between the start date of the time interval and the end date.
In 4weeks Cycle - week trend analysis, this is calculated dividing by 7.

Engagement

The following statistics are available:

  • Connections per sessions time range: it provides information on end-users activities through stacked column charts, ordering them by the following session time ranges:
    • 60 mins or more
    • 45-60 mins
    • 30-45 mins
    • 15-30 mins
    • 15 mins or less
    • Less than 5 minutes
It is also possible to retrieve data by selecting the following time intervals:
    • Last 7 days
    • Last 2 weeks
    • Last 4 weeks
    • Last month
    • Last 3 months

  • Average session time: it provides information on the average session time of end-users during the selected days. This section includes a line chart and a time indicator. It is possible to display data for the following time intervals:
    • Yesterday
    • Last seven days
    • Current month
    • Last month
    • Current year
    • Last year
    • Custom range (that is any time interval selected by the system user).

  • 4weeks Cycle - week trend analysis: it provides information on how much time end-users stayed connected during the last 4 weeks. This section includes an histogram chart: in the x-Axis there are days of the week, distributed for each considered week.

  • Daily average session time: it provides information on the average session time of end-users during different time slots in a day. This section includes a line chart. It is possible to order data by the following session time ranges:
    • 60 mins or more
    • 45-60 mins
    • 30-45 mins
    • 15-30 mins
    • 15 mins or less
    • Less than 5 minutes
It is also possible to retrieve data by selecting the following time intervals:
    • Last 7 days
    • Last 2 weeks
    • Last 4 weeks
    • Last month
    • Last 3 months

Please note that, except the cases of 4weeks Cycle - week trend analysis, in all other case the counter average is calculated based on the difference between the start date of the time interval and the end date.
In 4weeks Cycle - week trend analysis, this is calculated dividing by 7.

Average will be calculated by Total session divided by converting time interval in to day.
For example: if interval is 'Last 7 Days ' then total of end-users will be divided with 7.

Loyalty

In this section the following statistics are available:

  • Single time vs return users: this section consists of a double line chart (over the time) and two numeric indicators comparing the number of end-users who performed only one access to the service with the number of end-users who  used it more than once. It is possible to display data for the following time intervals:
    • Last seven days
    • Current month
    • Last month
    • Custom range (that is any time interval selected by the system user).
    • Repeat rate: this section consists of a line chart (over the time) and a percentage indicator providing the percentage ( returning users / total users) of end-users who used the service more than once. It is possible to display data for the following time intervals:
      • Yesterday
      • Last seven days
      • Current month
      • Last month
      • Custom range (that is any time interval selected by the system user).

    • Repeat users week distribution: this section consists of a stacked column chart and provides information on how often end-users connected to the service. The chart divides end-users into:
      • First time: end-users who connect to the service for the first time.
      • Daily: end-users who daily use the service.
      • Weekly: end-users who weekly use the service.
      • Occasional: end-users who already used the service at least once with a frequency of use less than monthly.
      Please note that

First time

      users will also included in

Daily/Weekly/Occasional

      calculation.

It is also possible to retrieve data by selecting the following time intervals:
      • Last 7 days
      • Last 2 weeks
      • Last 4 weeks
      • Last month
      • Last 3 months

  • Repeat users per time slot: this section consists of a line chart where single time users and returning users are distributed over different time ranges in a day. Since this is an average value, the number of end-users is divided by converting time interval in to day (for example, if interval is Last 7 days then total of end-users will be divided with 7).
It is also possible to retrieve data by selecting the following time intervals:
    • Last 7 days
    • Last 2 weeks
    • Last 4 weeks
    • Last month
    • Last 3 months

  • 4weeks cycle - week trend analysis: this section consists of a line chart where single time users and returning users are distributed over last 4 weeks and the days of these weeks. . Since this is an average value, the number of end-users is divided by 7 (as 7 days in a single week).
