Click-through: how end-users can access the service without entering access credentials

The Click-through connection mode is a default mode for free wireless services and an alternative sign-in method which does not require the end-user to create an account in order to access the service. The end-user has simply to accept the mandatory clauses (terms and conditions and privacy policies) and then click the Connect to Internet button in order to get the Internet connection.

The Service Profile, assigned to the end-users connected in Click-through mode, is the Default Profile assigned to the WiFi Area. It is possible to check the Default Profile set in the WiFi Area section.

In order to enable the Click-through option, it is necessary to set Enable Click-through option to Yes in the Sign-Up Options section. Please note that if this option is enabled, all the features related to the user account, such as the password recovery and the self care portal, are disabled.

When enabling the Click-through mode, it is still possible to use the Social Login as alternative way for an end-user to log-in. This is also a very fast way to log in, that allows to collect more data and statistics about end-users.

Below you can see an image of the login box appearance when enabling the Click-through mode.

Please note that if you want to speed up the connection process of the user you can also publish the Login box on the home page of the Splash Portal. In order to do that, you have to create the Login content type and then publish it into the desired block within the Splash Portal.
